Post Everlasting

Eulogy for a Veteran

 

Do not stand at my grave and weep.

I am not there, I do not sleep. 

I am a thousand winds that blow.

I am the diamond glints on the snow.

I am the gentle autumn rain.

When you waken in the morning hush,

I am the swift uplifting rush

Of quiet birds in circled flight. 

I am the soft stars that shine at night.

Do not stand at my grave and cry,

I am not there, I did not die.

Post 473 Legionnaires and Sons Squadron members are dedicated to rendering one final salute to our brothers and sisters who have "completed their final mission" here on earth. These faithful servants of our beloved country have been honorably and respectfully transferred to Post Everlasting. May The Lord rest their souls and comfort their loved ones.
